Show Notes

Welcome to the Somerset Emotional Wellbeing (SEW) podcast!

In this episode, Sloppy Slippers, our hosts Dr. Peter Bagshaw and Dr. Kate Staveley are joined by Charlotte Norman from SASP and Claire Bunclark from NHS Somerset to discuss what the Somerset Sloppy Slippers campaign is, why simply encouraging people to wear the right footwear can prevent admissions into hospital, and how you can get involved by visiting the team at one of their roadshows across the county.

The SEW podcast is a free weekly show hosted by Dr. Andrew Tresidder, Dr. Peter Bagshaw and Dr. Kate Staveley. In each episode, the doctors discuss a different topic related to mental and emotional wellbeing and often invite expert guests to join them in conversation. The show is aimed at the people of Somerset and beyond; the advice and guidance provided should apply to anybody who needs it, whenever they need it.

All episodes of SEW are now available to listen to free through Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Deezer, Google Podcasts, Amazon Podcasts, Somerset Emotional Wellbeing or wherever you get your podcasts!

The Sloppy Slippers Campaign - This year, NHS Somerset and SASP are running a scheme to equip adults in the county with properly fitting footwear. Adults can attend a series of roadshows across the county to collect a new, free pair of slippers to help keep them warm and, importantly, steady on their feet. Partner organisations will also be in attendance to provide information and support.
